Cameroon Presidential Elections 2011: Opposition SDF Party accuses Incumbent President Paul Biya of Massive Fraud & Vote Rigging.

Cameroon Presidential Elections 2011:


The main opposition party in Cameroon - the Social Democratic Front (SDF) - has accused the ruling party Cameroon Peoples' Democratic Movement (CPDM) of massive fraud and vote rigging during last Sunday's presidential elections.


Incumbent president Paul Biya is seeking to 4 term of office.Mr Biya (78), who has been in power for nearly 30 years, faced 22 other challengers during the ballot.


An official of John Fru Ndi's Social Democratic Front (SDF) said people had been caught voting more than once, while some complained that they were unable to cast their ballots.


Mr Biya and his officials have denied the claims of fraud.

He is quoted as saying "The world is not a perfect place, but let's be positive, for there has been no intention of fraud. We're for transparency and free elections," he said as he cast his ballot in the capital, Yaounde.            Source:BBC Africa

PAUL BIYA OF CAMEROON CALLED HIS JOURNALISTS CORRUPT

Paul Biya of Cameroon called journalist corrupt and irresponsible according to wikileak cables. It is alleged he said this to the then us Ambassador Janet Garvey in 2008.


Here is what one of the most corrupt presidents in Africa said “They write things that are untrue and publish stories in exchange for more money”
