Rihanna's father was recently rushed to hospital, following what was suspected to be the dreaded and deadly dengue fever.
Dengue fever also known as break bone fever is a deadly tropical disease with symptoms such as fever, headache, muscle pain, skin rash (symptoms similar to measles). The disease is transmitted by Aedes mosquitoes.
After the ordeal Rihanna’s dad - Ronald Fenty (57) – is quoted as saying “it was horrible, I thought I was going to die”.
He also said he could not immediately get hold of the Umbrella singer to tell her about his ordeal. He did manage to inform her through a Doctor friend who works in the same hospital where he was admitted.
In an unrelated newspaper story, it has been alleged Rih’s dad is a recovering drug addict.
