Steve Jobs death was announced earlier today by Apple's board of directors who said in a statement “we are deeply saddened to announce that Steve Jobs passed away today".
Jobs who had a history of health problems (pancreatic cancer and hormone imbalance that made him appeared pale) took an indefinitely leave of absence earlier this year from work to focus on his health.
Steve Jobs died surrounded by family and friends. In a statement his family members said “we are thankful to the many people who have shared their wishes and prayers during the last year of Steve's illness, a website will be provided for those who wish to offer tributes and memories"
This great man will always be missed - his brilliance, passion and countless innovations will always be remembered! Apple has lost a great man, may his soul rest in peace.
