Wizkid wins his first MOBO awards


wizkid did not attend MOBO Awards due to work commitment
Nigerian heart-throb wizkid bagged the award for best African Act at the MOBO awards that took place in Glasgow this year(2011).

The singer whose hits include “holla at your boy” and “don’t dull”, triumphed in the African Act category, beating Dbanj, Seun Kuti and other nominees to emerge winner.

Wizkid celebrated by announcing his win via twitter to his fans “team wizkid we did it!.............. Now let’s get the EMA!.....God bless every1 dat voted!....wow!”

Jesse J won 4 Awards
Other winners of the night were Jesse J who scooped four awards and English rapper Tinie Tempah who took home the award for best hip-hop act.
