Nigeria comic Baba Suwe gets his day in court, wins $155,000 in Compensation.

Nigerian comic actor Baba Suwe (real name Babatunde Omidina) has won $155,000 in Compensation for being wrongfully detained last October.

Baba Suwe

The actor was detained at Lagos airport on suspicion of carrying drugs. From what now seems to have been a scanning error, Baba was locked up for three weeks when officials wrongly believed he had drugs concealed in his stomach.

When he did not pass out drugs during a 3 weeks incarceration, he was duly released without charges. Baba then turned the tables against the NDLEA (National Drug Law Enforcement Agency ), who will not only have to cough up $155,000 but will also apologise to Mr Babatunde.

Baba's fans are delighted, now that justice seems to have been done.

Do you think $155,000 plus an apology is enough?
