Nigerian Police Force Corrupt, US Bureau Concludes.

I must admit that when I first saw this headline, I giggled.

Seriously does it have to take the efforts of the United States Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor to come to the conclusion that corruption is rife in the Nigerian Police Force (NPF)?

I think anybody with more than a single brain cell, who has had any kind of contact whatsoever with the NPF will know that the force is corrupt to the core.

They are so good at it, I wonder if the methods they use are not taught at police colleges.

The US bureau concluded that " ... Nigerian Police corruption remained rampant, particularly at highway checkpoints".
