Fuel Leak Fire Kills Dozens in Kenya

A fuel pipeline exploded in a densely populated Nairobi slum Monday morning, flattening homes, reducing some bodies to dust and forcing a massive evacuation of the area amid fears that big pools of leaked fuel could ignite.Source CNN

Reports suggest that the fire started when Villagers rushed to scoop fuel gushing from storm drains.

Similar incidents have occurred in Cameroon, Nigeria and even in Kenya, yet lessons have not been learnt. One thing is for sure, most of the victims are people living in extreme poverty. It is sad to see what lengths human beings can go to when forced to live below the poverty line!
